Activity 1: Chasing Great
Over the past 17 years New Zealand has experienced a number of sporting highlights, perhaps none larger than the back-to-back Rugby World Cup victories in 2011 and 2015. In both competitions our national rugby team, the All Blacks, was captained by a man named Richie McCaw. He is arguably one of the best rugby players of all time. A movie called Chasing Great was recently created to document his incredible rugby career.
Please watch the trailer for Chasing Great and read about Richie McCaw online. On your blog tell us three things that you learned about Richie that you did not know beforehand. What else would you like to know about Richie?
1.Richie McCaw never gives up on his dream.
2.He played rugby when he was a kid.
3.He did not know the all blacks until the 87 cup
4.The most challenging thing to him is to be able to perform.

ReplyDeleteThanks for providing us with a list of things that you learnt about Richie McCaw, when you say "he did not know the all backs until the 87 cup" what do you mean? Do you mean that he didn't join until 1987, or he didn't know who they were until 1987?
These are all very interesting facts, but in order for me to reward you with full points, I need you one thing from you: can you provide me with a couple of questions you'd like to ask Richie McCaw?

The first question I would ask Richie McCaw is That how old was he when he started watching the all blacks And the second question would be who was your favorite rugby player when you were a kid.
